Referred to as an 'Electuary' in herbal language, this is a combination of powdered herbs and raw cacao blended with honey. This can be enjoyed by the spoonful for a warming, aromatic, and stress relieving treat, or blended with hot water or milk and strained for a delicious adaptogenic hot chocolate.
use 2-3 tsp blended with 6-8oz hot water or milk
Blending with a blender or milk frother is preferred, but you can mix with a spoon as well. You are welcome to skip the straining step, but it can be a bit gritty, which I sometimes enjoy :)
Made by Karena Anderson Rodriguez
Ingredients: raw cacao nibs, ashwagandha root, burdock root, cinnamon bark, green cardamom, cayenne, honey
use within 3-4 months of purchase

First Curve's Community Apothecary is a community outreach program that utilizes circular economy practices to connect with urban foragers, local urban farms, and community gardens within Chicago. Collaborating with these plant folx allows us to share in the abundance of wild and weedy medicinal plants, which we tend, harvest, process, extract, and offer back to the community as herbal remedies at an accessible and sliding-scale price.
