Come out to the Laila Studio on Saturday, August 26 from 1-3pm for a workshop covering the basics of herbal medicine making with local herbalist, Alex Williams.

We will explore two preparation methods: tinctures (alcohol-based extracts) and water infusions. These are the herbal preparations I rely on the most in my practice due to their accessibility and efficacy. I will also offer insights into the fundamentals of herbal actions and energetics, equipping you with a framework to select the most suitable herbs for various situations, both for yourself and your community.

You will leave the workshop with a jar of tincture and a tea blend that you prepared for your own use!

After the workshop, I will send an email with a comprehensive handout outlining the medicine making process we covered. The handout will also offer a curated list of herbs to begin building your very own home apothecary, and provide a reading on actions and energetics in western herbalism. All so you can continue your learning and keep on kicking down the plant path from the comfort of your own home!
