Courses, Classes, & Workshops

First Curve 6-month Bioregional Herbalism Course
Course deposits are non-refundable. Please make sure you are certain you want to enroll in this course before submitting a deposit.

If you decide not to take this course after payment of course deposit and before the specified start date of the course, you are not obligated to pay for the remainder of the course beyond the initial deposit.

All payments made after the initial $400 deposit (either full payment of remaining balance or multiple installments through a payment plan) are likewise non-refundable after the specified start date of the course.

While I do not offer refunds after the specified start date, I am willing to apply any tuition paid as credit to your balance for a future year of the course, to any herbal consultations you may seek from me, or for other classes I may offer in the future.

Similarly, if you need to drop out of the course, I may offer the remaining missed classes as a credit towards a future year, herbal consultation, or other classes I may offer. Such credits are offered at my sole personal discretion. I do my best to make things work for people, so make sure to be in open communication with me and we can likely work something out.

Online Programs & Hybrid Online / In-person Programs Cancellation & Refund Policy
Payments must be current in order to receive the program supplies and access to the student resource pages and/or recordings. Written cancellations must be received by alex@firstcurveapothecary.com prior to the start of the program up to the date of the first class. Registrants who cancel prior to the start of the program will receive a refund minus a 30% administration fee. No refunds will be given after the first class.

In-person Workshops Cancellation and Refund Policy
Registrants can receive a refund minus a 30% administration fee for a workshop, program, or intensive if the cancellation is received 7 or more days before the start date. Unless extenuating circumstances are communicated in writing, no refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the start date of the workshop, program, or intensive. Refunds will not be given to individuals who register but do not attend.

Clinical Services

Holistic Herbal Consultation (Individual Consultation and Packages) Cancellation and Refund Policies
Package Refunds.  Packages are an investment in your health and wellness. Payments must be current prior to your first consultation. Refunds for packages are not permitted unless there are extenuating circumstances and are accompanied by a written email explanation. Emails must be received 7 days prior to the first consultation to receive a refund minus a $25.00 admin fee. Termination after the first consultation will receive a refund minus $100.00 appointment fee and $25.00 admin fee (to a total $125.00). Refunds are not available after the second consultation.

Cancellations and No-show Appointments. Once you have booked an appointment, I have the time you booked reserved in my schedule exclusively for you. Cancellations made up to 48 hours prior to your appointment will be rescheduled without penalty. If you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours prior to your appointment or do not show up to your appointment, you forfeit this consultation booking and no refunds or rescheduling for that missed appointment will be available.

First Curve Herbal Free Clinic Cancellation and No-show Policy
Since the free clinic offers no-fee consultations, spots are limited. Not showing up for your scheduled appointment means missed time for others who have requested no-fee herbal care. Clients who schedule but fail to attend their appointment or clients who cancel less than 48 hours prior to their appointment will be ineligible for future free clinic appointments for one year from date of booking (but are welcome as paid, private clients). Only under extenuating circumstances will this policy be waived for certain individuals.
